About the Book: Voices from a Space of Un-location is a poetry anthology that captures the irremediable wounds inflicted upon black souls that time has failed to heal. Each poem is an untold narrative invigorated one stanza at a time to loosen the vocal cords of the voiceless. The words bend collectively to heal, nurture resilience and catalyze reform. This collection delves deep into the interwoven tapestry of the life of the writer as she attempts to navigate two worlds—proudly wearing her label as a child of the diaspora both as a descendant of slaves and as an immigrant. The succulent Caribbean roots reverberate in some pieces while others immerse readers into the festering wounds inflicted upon black America.
